Wallflower

I feel as though with fashion I always play it safe I always look for plainer pieces; pieces that are easy to style with one another, black being one of the colours I always go for.
Lately I have been trying to take a few risks, this outfit is a very subtle change but I have been trying the art of 'mixing prints'

This one was sort of a mistake, I brought this skirt from Forever 21 a few weeks ago. I browsed the shop front to back and then on the way out I usually do another once over from back to front this is usually when I spot a few things on the way out then end up having to go all the way to the back again to try them on.
I spotted this skirt near the door, being a massive lover of midi lengths I grabbed this, I knew I had to have it hanging in my wardrobe. When I got back I showed it to my boyfriend with this stripy top and thought, wait that actually works?  Why the hell not wear two prints together?
And naturally stripes go with literally anything.

University is pretty much over for me now at least until September and I have to say I am so glad of the break I think I've probably emphasised saying that a few times but I think sometimes you just need a break from the normal and take a breather for a while. I quite like my own company so I'm looking forward to working on my blog a lot and doing some crafty things of my own, I'll share with you a few things over the summer I hope!
But I wouldn't say no to a little break away for a while.

That's it from me for this post, I'm more than likely going to watch Gossip Girl. I've just started watching it for the first time and 6 episodes in I'm hooked already, its the perfect amount of cringe, fashion, drama and eye candy I need at the moment.
Ooh and one final thing I met The Vaccines last week all the details will be on my music blog soon along with their new album review (just click music at the top) + I have quite a few new guest posts for #UsGirls coming soon, so look forward to that!
Until next time, take care you beautiful lot
