There is times like these when my blog title really makes sense I'm probably going to go really soppy now and tell you how much this blog means to me but its all true.
When I explained what it meant before and I said I felt like sometimes fashion/this blog holds me together I couldn't tell the truth more if I tried. Because I'm going to be honest sometimes when I feel things aren't going right I always have this to turn to.
I'm going to be straight university is really hard to get into (for fashion courses at least) and I think I've always been one of those people that expect things to just come to me but it doesn't always happen in fact hardly ever. And university is one of them things you really have to work at its tough and you do get knock backs and I think that really hits home on where you are in your life.
Its weird though because I'm still smiling even though things are quite going right not to mention added pressure from exams.
In six form as well they always seem to do these inspirational speeches but they always seem to make sense and today I think I've realised that to make things work you really have to stick at them and when you get knocked back you just keep going.
I'm sorry that was something I needed to vent, I mean pass the bucket right? Haha.
Anyway I wanted to do an outfit post because I feel like I haven't done one for a while and I've been promising showing these trousers for a bit.
I LOVE the trousers trend I really do they were around a lot at the end of last year in many patterns mainly baroque and I think I picked these up in the January sales I'd been after some for a while but knowing that I wouldn't wear them that much I didn't want to spend to much.. but £10! Yep from New Look I grabbed a pair and they're beauty's!
Blazers too have came back in a big way! I've seen a few bright ones around and pastel ones in this outfit i stuck with the trusty black but mostly because i wanted to show you a little DIY i did on it by adding leather pockets with a spare bit of leather i had left and glued it on. (its not brilliant but its a nice twist)
And despite the hate I have for uni at the moment this outfit is really interview-ish and one I think I may well wear for one I have next week so (fingers crossed)
Also please please please nominate me for the #stylebloggersawards2013
I'd appreciate it SO much! (just click the link below)
and until next time take care lovelyyss!
Keep your chin up Paige, Uni (and life in general) can really suck sometimes. I found it helps to have things to look forward to after the exams/essays, even if they were tiny things like getting to pop into TopShop after I'd handed in a big assignment.
ReplyDeleteDon't let the stress get to you too much, it's all worth it in the end :)
Love the trousers you bought btw, usually patterned trousers can veer on garish but these are lovely yet subtle! xoxo
